Interested in taking Dual Enrollment classes? We are excited to continue our partnership with Union University for a Dual Enrollment Online Program. Our goals with this program is to provide support to new dual enrollment students and give them a good start for success. If you have any questions regarding the program, please reach out to your AO Academic Advisor.
High School students in 11th and 12th grades may be dual-enrolled at a local college/university/trade school at the same time as being enrolled with ArchwayOnline. If these students pass their college courses, they receive both college credit and high school credit for the course. ArchwayOnline will accept dual enrollment courses from any college or university as long as we receive a transcript.
Important: Please be sure your student is ready for college-level courses. DE courses will appear on both the AO transcript and the college transcript. If the student fails a course the F will be on their transcript. ArchwayOnline will need a transcript or grade report from the college for grade reporting purposes. A transcript or scanned PDF copy from the college website is acceptable. You can email these to records@archwayonline.com.
- The student must be enrolled in the college taking either online or on-campus courses for the course to be considered Dual Enrollment (DE).
- The student will receive college credit, as well as high school credit for each DE course.
- Each 3 and 4 credit college course is equal to 1 high school credit.
- Each 1 and 2 credit college course is equal to .5 high school credit.
- ArchwayOnline will accept any DE courses that are offered by the college.
- ArchwayOnline will accept dual enrollment credits from any college.
- ArchwayOnline does not limit how many DE courses a student can take. This is up to the discretion of the parents and the student based on the student’s goals. However, the student must meet the qualifications set by the college.

ArchwayOnline students interested in taking a dual enrollment course through a college, university, or trade school should follow these steps:
1. Research Dual Enrollment Opportunities
The student and parent should contact the college, university, or trade school to learn about available dual enrollment courses, admission requirements, deadlines, and any associated costs.
2. Request School Approval
If the institution requires high school approval, submit the required dual enrollment authorization form to your ArchwayOnline High School Academic Advisor for review and signature. Be sure to inform your advisor of the course you plan to take and the semester in which you will enroll. Keep your advisor updated on any changes to your course or graduation plan.
3. Complete the College Enrollment Process
After receiving approval, complete all admissions and registration requirements with the college or trade school and enroll in the approved course(s).
4. Successfully Complete the Course
Students are responsible for meeting all course expectations and earning a passing grade according to the college or trade school’s policies.
5. Submit an Official Transcript
Upon completion of the course, request that an official college transcript be sent directly to records@archwayonline.com.
6. Transcript Review and Credit Posting
Once the official transcript is received, ArchwayOnline will review the course and post the appropriate high school credit(s) to your child’s official ArchwayOnline transcript.
*The Dual Enrollment Grant does not include the cost of class materials, such as books or access codes. You can see the course-specific books on Union’s website or by contacting the professor directly.
